This walk is part of the California Bird Atlas (CBA) Big Weekend\, a statewide celebration of breeding birds\, and every observation we make together will contribute real data to California’s first comprehensive statewide Breeding Bird Atlas. \n\n\n\nAlong the way\, leader Sammy Cowell will show participants how to use eBird to log birds with breeding codes\, turning an enjoyable morning outing into a meaningful contribution to bird conservation. Whether you’re new to eBird or already a regular user\, you’ll come away with the skills and confidence to atlas on your own throughout the five-year project. \n\n\n\nSatwiwa offers a rich mix of chaparral\, oak woodland\, and riparian habitat\, prime breeding territory for many of our local species.
